Accounts Payable Administrator

Volunteers of America Colorado is a nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need transform their lives. The Accounting Administrator is responsible for accounts payable, general bookkeeping, and maintaining financial records in accordance with agency procedures. Responsibilities Has knowledge of and is able to proficiently perform all Accounts Payable and other accounting functions including reconciling vendor statements and researching general ledger variances Research prior payments and settles payment issues with vendors Processes and reconciles monthly credit card statements Performs complex record keeping functions requiring knowledge of bookkeeping procedures Assists with daily reception/phone relief Completes filing of payables records including electronically Cash handling experience for daily deposits Predictable, consistent attendance Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor Skills Associates degree in Business, Accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience One year of experience in accounting or other relevant administrative functions including proficiency in the use of computer and office equipment Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Excellent analytical and organizational skills High level of competency working with Microsoft Office suite and cloud-based applications Strong time-management and prioritization skills Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Prior Not for Profit experience Benefits Vacation Time Separate Sick Time Paid Holidays Floating Holidays Personal Days Volunteer/Wellness Day Tuition Assistance Pension Plan 403b Retirement Plan with Agency Match Health, Dental, Vision, Pet Insurances Life Insurance Accident Insurance Employee Assistance/Work Life Balance Program Employee Discount Program LifeLock with Norton Public Service Loan Forgiveness Company Overview Volunteers of America Colorado is an organization that supports diverse populations, including children, veterans, and older adults.
