About the Role We are seeking a proactive Accounts Payable Manager based in Puerto Rico to oversee the accounts payable function across multiple client portfolios. This role manages our offshore AP team, ensures accuracy and timeliness in vendor payments, and drives process improvements that strengthen internal controls and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. What You’ll Do • Manage and mentor the offshore AP team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to deadlines. • Oversee AP workloads and ensure consistent communication across client accounts. • Serve as the main point of contact for AP-related client and vendor inquiries. • Maintain updated vendor information, including W-9s and payment terms. • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of check run proposals and approved payment batches. • Monitor AP aging regularly, identifying and resolving potential issues promptly. • Foster positive, professional relationships with vendors and clients through clear communication and proactive problem-solving. • Ensure invoices are posted accurately and coded to the correct GL and cost center. • Lead the 1099 filing process, ensuring all filings are accurate and submitted on time. • Oversee vendor statement reconciliations, resolving discrepancies quickly. • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audit requests. • Identify opportunities for process improvement and workflow automation. • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure AP data supports timely financial close and reporting. What We’re Looking For • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, including 2 years in a supervisory or management role. • Proven experience managing AP processes for multi-entity or multi-location clients. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. • Experience working with offshore or remote accounting teams preferred. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must.
