As we continue to grow, our corporate location is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic organization in Torrance, CA. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities • Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals prior to payment • Responsible for processing full cycle AP that includes 3-way matching, coding, obtaining approval, posting and processing check runs through our dealership accounting software system • Communicate with vendors and other locations to ensure all invoices are received and paid in a timely manner • Maintain all invoice, receiver, and payment records in a paperless AP environment • Bi-weekly check runs • Reconcile vendor statements • Process year-end 1099s • Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and provide payment updates • Keep Manager well informed regarding activities, pending issues, and potential problems • Performs other functions or duties as directed by management in line with the objectives of the dealership Qualifications • 1-2 years in full cycle Accounts Payable is preferred or open to a sharp recent graduate with some accounting knowledge that is willing to be mentored and trained • Able to work well within a fast-paced environment • Experience processing full cycle, high volume, and inventory expenses for multiple locations is preferred • Self-starter and a strong work ethic and good customer service skills • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) • AR/AP experience in the dealership industry preferred • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Excel, and ERP systems (e-Emphasys) • College degree preferred but not required Benefits • Medical • Dental • Vision • Life Insurance/AD&D coverage • Voluntary LTD & Aflac • 401K Matching • Paid Vacation, Sick, and Holiday • Birthday Perks • Uniforms Provided • Fitness Facility Available Sonsray Inc. strongly supports equal employment opportunity for all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, age, marital status, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by state or federal law.
