IBM Corporation is seeking an Advisory Software Developer to work in San Jose, CA. The role involves designing and building Open Telemetry features, developing toolchains for customer adoption, and evolving AI-driven observability infrastructure. Responsibilities Work with product managers to design and build Open Telemetry features that support flexible observability for new technologies Develop and maintain toolchains to streamline customer adoption of Open Telemetry, building a sustainable ecosystem with partners and customers Evolve AI-driven automated observability infrastructure. codebase for complete Open Telemetry coverage across all system layers, from agents to frontend Collaborate with support and internal users to resolve issues Create documentation, demo assets, and onboarding resources to improve user experience and adoption rates Work with development teams on integrating Open Telemetry capabilities throughout the platform Contributing code, reporting issues, and enhancing documentation Skills Master's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, or related (employer will accept a bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) One (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or related Company Overview IBM is an IT technology and consulting firm providing computer hardware, software, infrastructure, and hosting services.
