Basic information Job Name: AI & Integration Developer Location: Washington, DC Line of Business: Global Technology & Solutions Job Function: Investor Services Date: Tuesday, September 16, 2025 Position Summary The Carlyle Group seeks a Lead AI Developer & Integration Expert who will be pivotal in developing and seamlessly integrating AI models within our business systems. This role combines deep technical expertise in AI development with a robust understanding of system integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality AI applications and ensuring they are fully integrated into existing business processes, enhancing operational efficiency and user satisfaction. Responsibilities 55% AI Development: • Design, develop, and test AI models using the latest frameworks and tools. • Lead the hands-on aspect of coding and setup, ensuring high standards of code quality and system performance. 35% System Integration: • Oversee the integration of AI applications into various business systems, ensuring they function seamlessly with existing IT infrastructure. • Collaborate with system architects and IT operations to address integration challenges and optimize the performance of AI solutions. 10% Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: • Work closely with UX developers and business analysts to ensure AI solutions align with user needs and business objectives. • Lead the technical aspects of AI projects, providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers and integration specialists. Qualifications Education & Certificates • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Professional Experience • At least 5 years of experience in AI development and software integration, with demonstrated leadership in managing complex technical projects. Skills: • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or R, and familiarity with AI frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. Strong experience in system integration and API development. Competencies & Attributes: • Exceptional technical skills with the ability to manage sophisticated development tasks. • Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of orchestrating project tasks and managing teams under tight deadlines. • Innovative and problem-solving mindset, dedicated to continuous learning and development in the field of AI. Benefits/Compensation The compensation range for this role is specific to Washingotn, DC, and takes into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to required or preferred skill sets, prior experience and training, and any relevant licenses or certifications. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $160,000. In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes retirement benefits, health insurance, life and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits, and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to, individual and organizational performance.
