Business Analyst/ Scrum Master (Remote Opportuinty)

VetsEZ is seeking a Business Analyst/ Scrum Master to be a part of a remote team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The ideal candidate will lead and facilitate Agile practices to ensure efficient team collaboration and smooth project delivery. They should have a strong background in engaging with business stakeholders, gathering and analyzing business requirements, and driving process improvements to help the team achieve its goals effectively. Responsibilities: • Lead end-to-end requirement gathering activities, including defining scope, setting goals, managing deliverables, and ensuring alignment with client and organizational objectives. • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, PI Planning, Retrospectives, Demos) and proactively identify and remove impediments to ensure team progress. • Analyze complex business problems, gather user requirements, and recommend IT solutions by collaborating closely with stakeholders, managers, and end users. • Apply knowledge of Behavior-Driven and Test-Driven Development (BDD/TDD) to support high-quality software delivery practices. • Work cross-functionally with developers and UX/UI designers to translate business needs into user-centric, functional digital experiences. • Promote Agile best practices, coach team members, and provide recommendations to project stakeholders on process improvement and standardization. • Monitor team performance using Agile metrics such as velocity and burndown charts and provide regular progress reports. • Manage team communication, update documentation, and conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement. • Support procurement planning, advise on technical resources and tooling, and remain flexible in adapting to evolving team or project needs. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline. • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Scrum Master leading Agile teams on large-scale software, data-management, and integration projects. • Proficient in Agile frameworks including SAFe and Kanban, with hands-on experience using tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and Trello for backlog and sprint management. • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated expertise in conducting research, eliciting requirements, and translating business needs into well-defined user stories and functional specifications. • Experience in designing wireframes, explaining layout and functionality to clients, and incorporating feedback into iterative prototypes. • Expertise in leveraging Microsoft Office 365 tools (Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Atlassian/ServiceNow environments. • Excellent communication abilities, including drafting clear documentation and delivering focused briefings to senior leadership, with attention to capturing decisions and follow-ups. • Experience in onboarding and mentoring new users/ team members on Agile processes, tools, and best practices. • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage expectations, and present complex information to technical and non-technical audiences. Additional Qualifications: • SAFe Practitioner, SAFe Certified Scrum Master or similar certifications. • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile frameworks.
