Job Description AECOM Hunt has a need for our ORD construction project in Chicago for a Digital Technologist (BIM Specialist). The Digital Technologist will assist in creating, managing, and coordinating intelligent 3D digital models of buildings, integrating architectural, structural, and MEP data to enhance collaboration, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle Job Description: • Works under limited supervision. • Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content. • Support and produce on assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements (objects within the drawing, doors, lights, etc.). Qualifications Minimum Requirements: • BA/BS Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business or related curriculum and 4 years of experience in BIM or Digital Technology or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in clash detection and quality control in design conflict. • Experience with general construction documentation, schedules and BIM reporting. • Autodesk Revit, Autocad, Navisworks or other BIM modeling software. • arenaflex Office proficiency. • Deep understanding of BIM processes. • Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively and efficiently across the project. Additional Information • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future. • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. • This position is not hybrid nor remote. • In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite to enable access to secure portions of the facility for which you are being hired to perform services, you may be required to pass the clients security screening process, which will include, but may not be limited to, Homeland Security background check and fingerprinting. Should this be required it will be done after you have commenced employment, and your participation in that process and a pass rating by the client are both conditions of your continued employment by AECOM.
