The California Franchise Tax Board is seeking an Education Analyst to provide analysis and practical education on existing and emerging technical capabilities. The role involves solving business problems through technology while educating customers and technical teams, contributing to the department's service delivery engagements and education opportunities. Responsibilities Providing analysis and practical education on existing and emerging technical capabilities that align with the strategic design and function of FTB’s current and future business processes and technology solutions Solving business problems through technology while educating the customer and technical teams on the technology Continually moving the department towards our 'To Be' state via service delivery engagements and education opportunities Skills Skills in continual program improvement Strong organization skills Understanding of department technologies Solid business and technical writing Openness to learning processes and emerging technologies Ability to work with business and IT customers in support of growing and managing a strong and effective Enterprise Architecture program and Chief Technologist Office Experience conducting formal training, mentoring, and creating educational materials Experience fostering collaboration and communication, including presenting information (virtually and in-person) to multiple levels of users, customers, or other stakeholders Experience developing artifacts, such as educational documentation, user guides, diagrams, roadmaps, user stories, or other agile methodology documentation Experience working with general purpose programming languages such as Python, SQL, Java, PySpark, DAX Experience working with cloud solutions such as Azure, Databricks, and AWS Experience working with Low Code Application Platforms (LCAP) such as PowerApps, Pega, and PowerBI Experience participating in agile teams Experience with independently learning and applying emerging technologies to solve identified problems Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills Knowledge of FTB business programs, operations, processes, and principles Company Overview The Franchise Tax Board is responsible for administering two of California's major tax programs: personal income tax and corporation tax.
