EHR Specialist

GIS is seeking a talented professional to work with our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. You will be the primary point of contact for resolving and monitoring EHR open requests and issues. We are seeking an individual with experience in a medical clinic or hospital setting and proficiency in medical records systems. You’ll report directly to the IT Manager and have an opportunity to work with all facets of the medical practice – from the clinic staff to scheduling, to billing, and even research. The EHR system interfaces with many systems, including new AI applications. You will be exposed to all of this, yet work in a positive team environment. We’d love to meet any interested EHR professionals. This opportunity is for a medical professional working 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday (NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS). What you will do in this role: · Maintain, repair, interface, and troubleshoot the medical records system · Be responsible for customer service and end-user training. · Perform advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. · Provide application/customer support onsite and to remote locations. · Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation. · Maintain positive working relationships with the providers and staff who practice in the clinics. · Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements · Build, generate, and analyze reports. Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting and analysis on key metrics. · Work as part of a larger team with a great attitude and dedication Requirements: · Experience in a medical practice setting supporting enterprise-class electronic health record · Minimum 3+ years of EHR and medical practice experience We give extra consideration for: · eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience · End-user training experience · Healthcare IT helpdesk · Customer service experience · Database and/or report generation training Education: Associate's degree or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree preferred Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) matching Work Location: In person Apply tot his job
