Environmental Scientist

They are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Scientist – Stormwater to conduct field inspections, oversee maintenance and repair work, and support compliance with stormwater regulations. Responsibilities Conduct stormwater asset inspections and condition assessments at client sites Oversee stormwater maintenance and repair activities; coordinate with subcontractors (you won’t be performing hands-on repairs) Support documentation of field activities and observations using company systems Assist with reporting and data entry related to inspections and maintenance Ensure work aligns with stormwater regulatory requirements and internal quality standards Skills 0–2 years of professional experience in stormwater work or environmental field roles Comfortable conducting field work in various weather conditions Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle required for field travel Strong communication skills and ability to work independently Detail-oriented with good organizational skills Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology, or closely related field preferred Familiarity with Maryland stormwater permits and regulations strongly preferred Benefits Medical Dental 401k PTO Company Overview Apex is a national water resources and environmental services firm that provides single-source solutions for routine and complex projects.
