Job Overview Are you a detail-oriented professional with experience in market risk control and automation systems? We’re hiring a Fair Value Control Analyst to support a leading UK-based financial institution in managing control processes within the FVA-AVA system. This role requires strong technical capabilities in Control-M, Unix scripting, and basic Python knowledge, with essential exposure to Market Risk. This is a full-time opportunity that includes relocation to Málaga, Spain, offering a dynamic international work environment and the chance to join a high-performing global team committed to financial innovation and process integrity. Key Responsibilities • Manage and monitor control processes within the Fair Value Adjustment (FVA) and Additional Valuation Adjustments (AVA) systems. • Utilise Control-M to schedule, automate, and maintain workflows for financial data processing. • Write and troubleshoot Unix shell scripts to support system functionality and reporting tasks. • Apply basic Python programming to enhance system controls and improve data analysis processes. • Liaise with the Market Risk team to ensure accurate reflection of risk adjustments in valuation processes. • Conduct process checks and validations, ensuring alignment with internal controls and regulatory frameworks. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve operational efficiency. Qualifications and Experience • Proven experience working in a control function within a financial or risk management environment. • Proficiency in Control-M job scheduling and monitoring is mandatory. • Solid understanding of Unix/Linux scripting and command-line operations. • Basic to intermediate Python programming skills. • Strong knowledge of Market Risk concepts and valuation adjustment principles (FVA, AVA). • High attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach to problem-solving. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Ability and willingness to relocate to Málaga, Spain. • Access to a laptop and a stable internet connection (for onboarding and training purposes before relocation).
