This training covers safety protocols, customer service excellence, emergency procedures, and operational best practices. During training, participants receive a training wage, meals, and shared lodging if they do not live nearby. Upon successful completion, Flight Attendants are assigned to one of Delta's 19 bases across major hubs such as Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, and New York. Some positions are bilingual, requiring fluency in English and an additional language such as Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Korean, or Swedish. The role of a Delta Flight Attendant extends beyond standard customer service to becoming a critical safety officer onboard. Flight Attendants must consistently practice safety conscious behaviors, coordinate emergency procedures, and provide basic health care like CPR when necessary.
