Hematologist - Telemedicine / Virtualist
About the position Responsibilities • Evaluation, diagnosis, consultation and treatment of hematologic diseases of all types including blood disorders, anemia, blood clots, bleeding disorders and blood cancers. • Order and oversee diagnostic testing in alignment with NCCN guidelines. • Prescribe treatment and supportive medications. • Collaborate with the care team including palliative care, psychology, social work, PT, OT, Speech, dietician, nursing, and research to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Oversee care provided by Advanced Practice Clinicians as required by provider licensure. • Participate in process improvement which drives standard of care across the continuum. • Participation in tumor board(s) is required. Requirements • M.D. or D.O. with fellowship in Hematology or Hematology/Oncology. • New Mexico Medical License. • Board certified or board eligible in hematology.
