IT Business Analyst (SDLC, Curam) - Remote

About the Role: We are seeking a master-level Business Analyst with extensive Curam expertise for a fully remote, long-term contract position with our government client. As a top-level specialist, you will be instrumental in defining system scopes and objectives for critical projects. You will analyze complex business challenges, partner with leadership on strategic initiatives, and translate user needs into detailed system requirements within a sophisticated enterprise environment. This role requires a driven, analytical, and adaptable professional who can take ownership of problems and drive them to resolution. Essential Responsibilities: • Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements. • Analyze and evaluate current business processes, recommending areas for improvement, optimization, and development. • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems, considering computer equipment capacity, limitations, and operational timelines. • Lead the analysis of business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into precise system requirement specifications. • Plan and lead workshops for gap analysis and training sessions. • Provide expert consultation on complex projects related to the application of technology to the client's business environment. • Serve as an integral part of the project team, demonstrating initiative and critical thinking to resolve challenges. Required Qualifications: • A minimum of sixteen (16) years of experience as a Business Analyst. • A minimum of sixteen (16) years of hands-on experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience; OR a current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. • At least three (3) years of professional experience with Curam software (Version 6 or higher). • Proven experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and driving functional design sessions. • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. • Proficiency with project management methodologies and data analysis tools. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in Change and Release management disciplines. • Experience working with technologies such as Microstrategy, HP Exstream, Tableau, JIRA, and Salesforce.
