This role acts as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating business strategy into meaningful people, leadership, and culture outcomes   This is a highly strategic role with accountability for building a strong, modern people model - one that clearly differentiates strategic advisory and coaching from transactional delivery, enabled by automation, seamless integration with Centers of Excellence, and a strong operational backbone.   Here's what you will spend your time doing:   Strategic Leadership - Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing People Operations team with a focus on capability‑building, judgment, and impact - Drive accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across People & Culture and business units - Model and promote Western’s Guiding Principles as the foundation of culture and leadership - Support enterprise transformation initiatives aligned to Western’s strategic priorities   Strategic Business Partnership - Lead the people‑facing HR function, positioning People & Culture partners as trusted advisors and coaches - Translate enterprise and business strategies into practical people, talent, and organizational solutions - Provide senior‑level advisory support to executive leaders on leadership, talent, and employee experience matters - Identify organizational risks and opportunities related to culture, engagement, capability, and performance   People Advisory & Employee Relations - Provide strategic oversight and leadership for Employee Relations, case management, and workforce issues - Oversee disability, leave, case management, and employee wellbeing programs with compliant, empathetic delivery - Guide leaders through complex people situations with sound judgment and risk awareness   HR Model & Integration - Establish strong feedback loops between leaders, People & Culture partners, and Centers of Excellence to continuously improve service delivery and outcomes. - Drive automation and transition of administrative activities to backend teams and digital platforms - Partner closely with backend People & Culture leaders to ensure end‑to‑end integration across HR Admin, Benefits, L&D Admin, Contracts, and Job Architecture   What we are looking for: - 15+ years of progressive HR/People leadership experience, including senior advisory and team leadership roles - Strong experience operating as a strategic HR partner in complex, multi‑location or enterprise environments - Experience evolving HR service models, enabling automation, and strengthening operational maturity - Exceptional communication, influence, and relationship‑building skills - High integrity, sound judgment, and a people‑first leadership approach   Role Details Hours/Duration: 37.5 hours per week – Full time, permanent Location: Remote options available across Canada Current Vacancy: Yes Requisition #:82754 Compensation Range: $140,000 - $170,000   Why Western?
