Description Business Development Representative - Construction/Heavy Industrial (Hybrid-AZ)   Are you a creator, not a waiter?   Do you thrive in fast-paced environments that require adaptability?   Do you love being the person who opens doors others can’t?   ABOUT ASCENT WORKS Ascent Works is a small, high-growth risk management firm serving well-known clients in the construction and heavy industrial industries. Having begun as an insurance brokerage, Ascent Work now partners with clients to assess, diagnose, and improve safety and point of risk measures, driving worker protection and organizational cost savings by reducing insurance premiums, workplace accidents, and risk. The tangible cost savings speak for themselves.   THE ROLE As a Business Development Representative, you will open doors with mid-sized construction and industrial C-Suite decision makers to introduce how Ascent Works can save them money and make their workplaces safer. You will do this by:   ·        Generating 10+ Sales Qualified Appointments/month ·        Making 75–90+ outbound touches/week (calls, texts, voice memos, in-person conversations. Not email) ·        Using your network to spark openings ·        Asking sharp questions and uncover real problems ·        Handing off clean opportunities that close at full value ·          THE REWARD ·        $80K base ·        12%+ commission on every deal in year 1, increase in year 2 ·        Accelerators when you beat target ·        Realistic Year 1: $115K–$180K+ ·        Unlimited PTO ·        Hybrid work ·        Health, dental, vision ·        401(k)   THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL: ·        Bring 2+ years of sales experience in the construction, industrial, and/or an adjacent field ·        Hold proven experience selling to the C-suite ·        Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment ·        Be highly networked in the construction and heavy industrial fields and be skilled in leveraging existing relationships ·        Thrive in and maintain motivation in highly autonomous environments Summary This role at Ascent Works is for a proactive individual who excels at opening doors and creating opportunities with C-Suite decision-makers in the construction and industrial sectors. You will be responsible for generating sales-qualified appointments through outbound efforts, leveraging your network, and uncovering client needs. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and is not afraid to take initiative. The role offers a base salary of $80K with a commission structure that allows for a realistic year 1 earning potential of $115K–$180K+.
