Position Overview The Director of Global Customer Onboarding will spearhead the end‑to‑end payroll implementation experience for arenaflex’s multinational clientele. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead a high‑performing team of Customer Onboarding Managers, orchestrate complex cross‑border payroll projects, and serve as the trusted executive liaison for our most strategic clients. Key Responsibilities - Global Payroll Implementation Leadership: Direct a regional team of Customer Onboarding Managers to deliver flawless payroll implementations across diverse geographies and industry verticals. Own a sizable book of business and guarantee that each project meets quality, timeline, and budget targets. - Executive Client Engagement: Act as the senior point of contact for clients during the onboarding journey. Conduct discovery sessions, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and provide strategic counsel on best‑practice payroll processes. - End‑to‑End Project Management: Oversee planning, system design, configuration, testing, data migration, user enablement, and post‑implementation support. Employ proven methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) to keep projects on track and mitigate risks. - Team Leadership & Development: Mentor, coach, and evaluate the performance of Customer Onboarding Managers. Foster a culture of continuous learning, encourage certification pursuits, and build succession pipelines. - Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in payroll workflows. Champion automation initiatives, refine SOPs, and collaborate with product engineering to enhance system functionality. - Reporting & Analytics: Deliver regular status dashboards to senior leadership and clients. Produce post‑implementation performance reports, highlight ROI, and propose actionable improvement plans. - Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Support teams to align onboarding strategies with broader business objectives and ensure seamless handoffs. Essential Qualifications - Minimum 7 years of experience in global payroll operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity overseeing complex payroll system implementations. - Proven track record of managing payroll projects for multinational enterprises across North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. - Deep understanding of international payroll regulations, tax laws, social security contributions, and compliance standards. - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree or certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) are a distinct advantage. - Advanced proficiency with payroll technology platforms and integration tools (e.g., API, SFTP, XML/JSON data feeds). - Exceptional project management capabilities—certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 are highly regarded.
