**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a Data Entry Operator/Customer Service employee to accurately and timely enter demographic data on daily specimen batches and generate and check computerized reports for data accuracy. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various authorized medical personnel. As a Data Entry Operator at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our medical specimen processing and customer service operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Accurately and timely enter demographic data on daily specimen batches into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
* Generate and check computerized reports for data accuracy, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate
* Assist in printing and processing Patient Reports to Physicians and Hospitals, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to document storage policies
* Maintain and update Physician's information in LIMS, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date
* Use Imaging software to scan filter paper requisitions and documents into LIMS, ensuring that all information is accurately captured and stored
* Assist in accessioning newly arrived specimens in the specimen processing section, as required
* Maintain confidentiality of all records by shredding old lab specimen requisitions, patient reports, and other documents containing patient information, following document storage policies
* Perform other duties assigned as necessary, including working some holidays and Saturdays
**Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent
* General knowledge of personal computers and software applications, including Microsoft Office and LIMS systems
* Ability to type 50 words per minute with an accuracy of at least 90%
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and reporting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various authorized medical personnel
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience in a medical or laboratory setting, with knowledge of LIMS systems and specimen processing procedures
* Certification in medical terminology or a related field
* Experience with Imaging software and other medical software applications
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
