About the position Join Hitachi Energy and lead environmental excellence across our North America HUB. As the Sustainability & Environmental Specialist, you will design and manage programs that drive compliance, innovation, and sustainability across multiple sites. This role is key to advancing our environmental performance and supporting a greener future. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines. How You'll Make an Impact Develop and implement environmental programs and processes across the HUB. Act as a coach and advisor to leadership on environmental management. Support audits, inspections, and corrective actions for compliance. Oversee environmental incident reporting and investigation processes. Consolidate HUB environmental data for customer requests and reporting. Manage remediation projects and sustainability initiatives. Propose and track environmental KPIs to drive improvement. Coach ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certified sites on best practices. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental, or Occupational Health Sciences. • Minimum 8 years of HSSE experience, preferably in manufacturing. • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (air, water, waste, remediation). • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and environmental management systems.
