Department: Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Location: Lausanne, Switzerland Contract Type: Internship (12 months) Activity Level: 100%   The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement.A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees, the International Federations, Organising Committees for the Olympic Games, the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Olympic broadcast partners. It also collaborates with public and private authorities including the United Nations and other international organisations.   About the role: As an Internal Communications Trainee, you will support the implementation of internal communications plans for IOC employees.We are recruiting two trainees within the Internal Communications team, with complementary areas of focus: - Position A – Internal Communications Trainee (HR focus) - Position B – Internal Communications Trainee (Corporate & IOC-wide focus) Both roles are based within the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Department and work closely with multiple internal stakeholders.Common responsibilities (both positions): Support the organisation and production of internal communications for IOC employees Write and edit articles or other types of content (FAQ, information notes, etc.) Liaise with Language Services for translation and proofreading Coordinate internal videos or photos production with the Images Services Support internal events (staff meetings, breakfast & learn sessions, webinars, and others): send invitations, liaise with the Events Teams regarding logistics, and support content production. Contribute to the development and implementation of internal campaigns across all channels Coordinate the internal communications editorial calendar in line with the organisation’s editorial calendar Participate actively in the weekly meetings of the internal communications working group Support other internal communications projects when required Liaise with other departments to stay updated on new internal initiatives, product and service developments, and to ensure brand consistency   Position‑specific responsibilities Position A - Internal Communications Trainee (HR focus) Coordinate and plan the HR communications editorial calendar in line with the organisation’s editorial calendarSupport the coordination and production of internal communications with a strong focus on HR topics, including: HR operations Inclusion and diversity Performance management Health at work Learning and development Draft and design emails to IOC employees about HR topics in a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) Monitor the impact of communications initiatives Document achieved results (number of views, unique viewers for articles, number of participants for events, qualitative feedback, etc.) Analyse results and share recommendations for future actions Participate actively in weekly meetings of the internal communications working group and the Human Resources teams   Position B – Internal Communications Trainee (Corporate & IOC-wide focus) Support the production of content on a wide range of topics, including: - Olympic Games - IOC activities and programmes - Interviews with IOC employees Promote created content (articles, videos, images, documents, etc.) across internal platforms and channels, including: - Intranet - Screens - Physical spaces - Emails - LinkedIn - Contribute to the development, maintenance and monitoring of internal platforms and channels Profile and requirements (for both positions) University bachelor or master degree in communications or journalism Excellent written and oral command of English and French Excellent command of corporate tools and ability to follow internal user rules (Outlook, etc.) Complete familiarity with IT software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft tools) Excellent command of SharePoint, CRM or design tools is an asset Strong interest in people management and HR activities (particularly relevant for Position A) Keen sense of priorities to ensure efficient management of projects and deliverables; ability to multitask and follow up on files assiduously Ability to look for information, summarise it and simplify complex processes into clear communications Familiarity with teamwork, both in managing workflows and communicating with colleagues Sense of initiative and ability to work remotely and autonomously as needed Keen sense of confidentiality Creativity in finding new ways of communicating Come and join an organisation where the spirit of inclusion, gender equality and diversity is embedded in its DNA and which focuses on what unites us – a passion for sport and its values.
