Purpose
The IT Supplier Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring Nucleus Financial maximises value from its technology suppliers. You will oversee the end‑to‑end management of key IT vendors, ensuring that services are delivered efficiently, risks are mitigated, costs are controlled, and supplier performance consistently meets business requirements.
Working closely with IT teams, procurement, wider finance, and business units, you will align supplier management practices with organisational goals. You will act as a bridge between internal teams and external suppliers—cultivating strong partnerships, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to the overall success of our IT operations and service delivery for customers and clients.
Key Accountabilities
Supplier Strategy & Governance
- Develop, implement, and evolve a comprehensive IT supplier management strategy.
- Maintain supplier management policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, regulatory expectations, and the Nucleus Code of Conduct.
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
- Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with key technology suppliers.
- Act as the primary escalation point for vendor issues and disputes.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews, reporting on SLAs, KPIs, and agreed actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supplier landscape.
Contract & Commercial Management
- Lead or support contract negotiations, including pricing, SLAs, commercial terms, and renewals.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, value enhancement, and risk reduction.
- Work closely with Procurement and Legal teams to ensure contracts align with business needs and regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Partner with IT service teams, platform operations, procurement, legal, finance, and business units.
- Build strong internal networks and senior stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure supplier management activities support business and technology strategy.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor market and technology trends to identify innovation and improvement opportunities.
- Share knowledge across IT teams and the wider business.
- Ensure IT supplier management contributes to stable, resilient, and high quality IT services.
- Promote a continuous improvement mindset across Nucleus.

- Experience in a Supplier Management or similar role working with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- A team player with passion and enthusiasm for your work
- Ability to manage and prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to evaluate supplier performance and identify areas of concern and for improvement.

- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of the financial services industry
- Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience
