I run an educational podcast channel and I am looking for a reliable, experienced podcast editor to work on a long-term weekly basis.
Each episode is 40–60 minutes of raw audio.
There are 4 episodes per week (sometimes 5).
This is a purely educational project (not commercial/business-driven), and the budget is fixed at $20 per episode.
That equals:
• $80 per week (4 episodes)
• $100 per week (5 episodes)
Please apply only if you can work within this budget. I will not be able to increase it.
⸻
Scope of Work (Per Episode)
You will receive raw audio files and selected music tracks (intro/outro/interval music).
Your responsibilities:
1. Audio Editing
• Clean editing (remove mistakes, pauses, filler words where appropriate)
• Smooth transitions
• Maintain natural conversational flow
2. Audio Enhancement
• Noise reduction
• De-essing
• EQ balancing
• Compression
• Mastering to professional podcast loudness standards (e.g., -16 LUFS stereo)
3. Music Integration
• Add intro music (already selected)
• Add outro music
• Insert short 2–3 second interval music every few minutes
• Add very light background music throughout (subtle, not distracting)
4. Waveform Graphics Creation
• Export final audio to Adobe After Effects
• Generate waveform animation graphics
• Export graphics to Premiere Pro
• Sync visuals with full episode duration
• Deliver final video file with audio + waveform graphics
Final Deliverables Per Episode:
• Final mastered audio file (MP3/WAV)
• Final video file (MP4) with waveform graphics
• Project files (if required)
⸻
Important Notes
• I can share 1–2 previous podcast episodes so you can clearly understand the style and quality I expect.
• Consistency is very important.
• Turnaround time should be reliable.
• Long-term collaboration preferred.
⸻
Requirements
Please apply only if you:
• Have previous podcast editing experience
• Can deliver studio-quality sound
• Have strong knowledge of:
• Adobe Audition / Audacity / similar DAWs
• Adobe After Effects
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• Can work within the fixed $20 per episode budget
• Provide sample work (audio + video preferred)
Applications without sample work will not be considered.
⸻
If this budget and workflow suit you and you have strong experience, I am happy to start with a trial episode and build a long-term working relationship.
Thank you.
