Overview
We are a senior UX/UI design agency looking for a highly experienced individual specialist to help us generate enterprise leads and win government contracts.
This is not a beginner role. We are looking for someone who has direct experience doing enterprise outreach and/or submitting successful government bids on SAM.gov.
If you have not previously worked with enterprise outreach or federal contracting, this role will not be a fit.
Important: We are only interested in working with individual professionals.
Agencies, recruiting firms, and teams will not be considered.
To confirm you read the full description, start your proposal with the word: Pipeline.
We are offering a small base salary plus commission, with compensation primarily driven by performance and results.
This role will begin with an initial trial period of 30 days. If performance is strong, this will become a long-term engagement.
What We Need Help With
We want to build a repeatable pipeline in two areas:
1. Enterprise Outreach (Fortune 500 / Large Companies)
Your role will include:
• Identifying the right decision makers inside large organizations (product leaders, design leaders, innovation teams, etc.)
• Using Upwork and other channels to reach out to these individuals
• Writing outreach that gets responses and leads to calls
• Positioning our UX/UI and product design services in a compelling way
• Booking qualified calls with decision-makers
We are looking for someone who understands how to sell consulting services, not someone who sends mass messages.
2. Government Contracting (SAM.gov)
This is a major focus area for us.
Responsibilities include:
• Monitoring SAM.gov for relevant opportunities
• Identifying contracts suitable for a UX/UI design agency
• Preparing and submitting competitive proposals
• Ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are correct
• Helping us build a repeatable process for bidding on government work
Required Experience
You must have experience with at least one of the following (ideally both):
• Generating meetings through targeted outreach to enterprise clients
• Submitting government bids or proposals through SAM.gov
Additionally:
• Strong written communication
• Ability to research organizations and identify decision-makers
• Experience positioning service-based businesses
We are only interested in applicants who have previously generated meetings with enterprise clients OR submitted bids on SAM.gov.
This Role Is NOT For
• Beginners learning lead generation
• People who only scrape leads or send bulk messages
• Agencies or teams outsourcing the work
• Applicants without real SAM.gov or enterprise outreach experience
We want to work directly with the person doing the work, not through an agency.
When Applying
Please answer the following:
1. Describe one outreach campaign you ran that generated qualified meetings.
2. If you have worked with SAM.gov, describe a bid or proposal you helped prepare.
3. How would you identify government opportunities relevant to a UX/UI design agency?
4. Write one example outreach message you would send to a Fortune 500 product leader.
5. How would you find UX/UI-related opportunities on SAM.gov this week? List the exact keywords or NAICS codes you would search.
Applications that do not follow these instructions will not be considered.
Candidates With The Following Background Are Strongly Preferred
We prioritize candidates who have experience with:
• BDR / SDR roles
• GovCon (Government Contracting)
• Federal proposal writing
• SAM.gov opportunity research
• Enterprise outreach
