Job Description:
• Oversee reinsurance operations and lead the placement of reinsurance
• Prepare and present proposals for reinsurance placements
• Negotiate insurance and reinsurance placements
• Maintain current in-depth knowledge of the reinsurance marketplace
• Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients
• Serve as primary contact for any carrier underwriting and claim audits
• Work with all functional areas of the company
• Understand and manage current policy administration procedures
• Lead strategic analysis of the marketplace
• Analyze the quality and quantity of risks underwritten
Requirements:
• 10+ years’ experience in P&C reinsurance operations/sales/underwriting
• College degree (preferred)
• Technical knowledge of reinsurance markets, reinsurance placement and wording
• Understanding of coverage wording and underwriting
• Ability to perform effectively in a technical leadership position
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including high level Excel experience
• Ability to travel up to 10%
