Evonik is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support and grow microbial control programs including Blitz™ and Spectrum™ across beef, swine, and poultry processing plants in Virginia and eastern North Carolina.
This role combines technical service expertise with consultative sales and territory growth. You will manage assigned accounts, provide on-site troubleshooting, and build strong relationships with plant managers, food safety leaders, quality teams, and purchasing decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and grow microbial control programs within assigned accounts
• Conduct regular service visits, sales calls, and on-site troubleshooting
• Identify new business opportunities and support forecasting
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive retention and profitability
• Document sales activities within Evonik CSM systems
• Promote safe work practices aligned with company standards
Requirements
• 2 to 5 years of sales or technical service experience in poultry or allied protein industries
• 3 to 5 years working within slaughter or further processing plant environments
• Strong business acumen and customer relationship skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, territory-based role
• Willingness to travel up to 80% and work flexible hours as needed
Pay Range: $72,700 – $121,200
