Lifecycle Marketing Manager (B2B SaaS)

We’re looking for an experienced Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own our email lifecycle strategy across the full SaaS customer journey. This role is not cold outbound and not CRM administration. Your focus will be on inbound, behavior-driven email campaigns that support users from first touch to activation, adoption, retention and expansion. Email is the primary channel. You’ll design, build, and optimise automated flows for both marketing contacts and active product users, working closely with product and marketing. What you’ll do - Own our lifecycle email and CRM strategy - Design and build automated email flows (onboarding, activation, education, retention, re-engagement) - Define segmentation, triggers, and user journeys based on behaviour and lifecycle stage - Create and optimise inbound email campaigns (not outbound sales) - Write high-quality email copy yourself (strong copywriting required) - Run A/B tests and optimize subject lines, messaging, and timing - Use data and performance insights to improve engagement, conversion, and retention - Collaborate with product, content, and marketing teams Requirements - Proven experience in Lifecycle / Email / CRM marketing - Previous experience in SaaS (required) - Strong understanding of SaaS customer journeys - Hands-on experience building automated email flows - Strong copywriting skills - Experience with lifecycle tools such as Encharge, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, or similar Nice to have - B2B SaaS background - Product-led growth experience - Experience working closely with product teams What success looks like - Clear, well-structured lifecycle flows - Higher activation, engagement, and retention - Relevant, timely, and valuable email communication throughout the customer journey If you want, I can: - Shorten this further for a high-conversion Upwork post - Add budget / contract details - Adjust tone (more startup vs more corporate) Apply tot his job
