Professional Linguists - U.S. Citizens - Legal translators, editors, or transcribers – 1099 contractors – Remote Global Language Strategies seeks freelance / contract linguists (legal translators, editors, or transcribers) to perform legal translation services for a United States Government client. Must possess at least three years of experience translating, interpreting, or transcribing legal content with a knowledge of correct legal and technical terms in English and the source language. • Applicants must be U.S. citizens willing to undergo security clearance processing. Requirements Qualifications include: • 3 years of experience providing professional language services to governmental clients • Extensive legal language service experience is required • Bachelor's degree in a foreign language, linguistics, or comparable field required • Must be able to use CAT tools (if translator or editor); experience using Trados preferred • Excellent organizational skills and understanding of language services • Advanced proficiency in reading/writing/listening and speaking in English and the target foreign language(s) • Available during 9-5 EST most days to take on-demand assignments • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Apply tot his job
