Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Save A Lot is a retail company focused on optimizing store operations and profitability. The Area Business Consultant is responsible for advising Retail Partners on improving their business performance, executing store operations, and ensuring adherence to brand standards. Responsibilities • Drive profitable sales and purchases through direction or influence by ensuring Retail Partner store conditions, customer service levels, merchandising standards, and purchases are compliant with Save A Lot standards • Continuously work to influence Retail Partners on modernizing existing stores facilities and help execute store remodels • Develop operational business plans to drive sales and/or profits • Review load optimization planning to maximize trucking efficiencies and minimize costs • Consult with Retail Partners to identify root-cause opportunities • Cultivate productive, influential working relationships with Retail Partners that result in improved business Retail Partner profitability • Guide Retail Partners to establish best practice routines and drive profitable perishable departments • Lead quarterly business reviews with Retail Partners to plan and sequencing business initiatives via KPI analysis • Collaborate with other Area Business Consultants and Retail Partners to gather and share best operational practices • Evaluate and measure competitor impacts to the region and its stores. Utilize resources to build action plans to address competitor activity and pricing opportunities • Actively work with Retail Partner to improve store sales, purchases, store standards and food safety compliance • Conduct training of basic operational activities • Act as lead communication liaison to our Retail Partners ensuring active listening and committed action • Perform other duties as assigned Skills • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience • Ability to create and utilize business analytics reports supporting data driven decisions • Ability to interpret a P&L • Ability to influence others without direct authority • Ability to manage multiple assignments or projects • Provides strong leadership skills with the ability to influence others • Must be results oriented and data driven • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications • Ability to interact with and present to senior management and outside resources • Must be a strong learner, think independently, and demonstrate critical thinking • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills • Ability to travel which may include overnight, weekends and evenings, as needed • 3-5 years of management experience preferred • Multi-unit management and in-store merchandising experience a plus Benefits • 401K company match up to 4% • Paid Time Off • Medical Insurance options including FSA & HSA • Vision Insurance • Dental insurance • Employee Assistance Programs • Team Member Referral Program • Tuition Reimbursement • Wellbeing Program • Career development opportunities Company Overview • Founded in 1977, Save A Lot is one of the largest value-focused grocery store chains in the U.S., with approximately 700 stores in 30 states.
