[Remote] Higher Education Consultant Intern

The Higher Education Consultant Intern will play a key role in connecting students with opportunities and updating the organization's website and email campaigns to facilitate the college application process. Responsibilities • Research verified organizations that provide financial aid, scholarship, preparation, and mentorship opportunities for different categories of underserved students • Evaluate program eligibility criteria and ensure informational accuracy • Design and help implement an email campaign that delivers relevant opportunities and guidance to students on a regular schedule (for example, by grade level, semester, or deadline) • Collaborate with the technology and outreach teams to organize email lists, segment audiences, and ensure that all content is easy to navigate and user-friendly • Help develop a basic content calendar for key milestones (FAFSA dates, major scholarship deadlines, college application phases, etc.) • Stay updated on trends in higher education access, equity, and affordability, and incorporate new opportunities into the campaign • Provide insights to help shape new resources, partnerships, or features that strengthen our ability to reach and support our students Skills • Commitment: 4–8 hours per week • Research verified organizations that provide financial aid, scholarship, preparation, and mentorship opportunities for different categories of underserved students • Evaluate program eligibility criteria and ensure informational accuracy • Design and help implement an email campaign that delivers relevant opportunities and guidance to students on a regular schedule (for example, by grade level, semester, or deadline) • Collaborate with the technology and outreach teams to organize email lists, segment audiences, and ensure that all content is easy to navigate and user-friendly • Help develop a basic content calendar for key milestones (FAFSA dates, major scholarship deadlines, college application phases, etc.) • Stay updated on trends in higher education access, equity, and affordability, and incorporate new opportunities into the campaign • Provide insights to help shape new resources, partnerships, or features that strengthen our ability to reach and support our students Company Overview • Removing barriers for low-income and first-generation students to access higher education.
