100% Remote, Contract An innovative and fast-paced employment law firm based in Los Angeles, California is seeking a temp, remote Demand Writer to draft and revise demand letters for employment-related cases. The firm specializes exclusively in representing employees in disputes against their current and former employers and is recognized for its tech-forward, collaborative approach. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple projects efficiently while ensuring accuracy. The position offers the chance to work closely with a small, dynamic legal team and potential for long-term contract growth. Salary Range: $40 - $75 / hour DOE Demand Writer Responsibilities: • Draft, revise, and proofread demand letters for employment-related cases, including wage & hour and class action matters • Ensure all correspondence is accurate and reflects the relevant case facts and documentation • Use AI tools and legal research software to identify key documents impacting cases • Manage multiple assignments daily while balancing quality and efficiency • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to gather necessary case information • Maintain organized records and files using cloud and document management systems • Assist with drafting complaints or other legal documents as needed • Stay current on California employment law and best practices for demand letter drafting Demand Writer Requirements: • Licensed attorney or qualified paralegal authorized to practice in California • Several years of experience drafting demand letters for California employment law cases • Plaintiff-side employment experience required; defense-side experience not accepted • Exceptional attention to detail with strong proofreading and editing skills • Proficient with Word, Adobe, cloud-based document systems, legal research platforms, and AI tools • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and prioritize effectively • Professional communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality ! #LI-BM1 Apply tot his job Apply tot his job
