About the position This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Technical Portfolio Manager. In this vital role, you will oversee and ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives in IT portfolio management. You will collaborate with IT team members and stakeholders to align portfolio needs and deliver outcomes that drive business objectives. This role is essential in managing complex IT programs and maintaining partner relationships, ultimately contributing to technological advancement and business value. Responsibilities • Oversee the governance, execution, and delivery of complex IT programs and initiatives. • Develop and implement program governance frameworks and methodologies. • Monitor program progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies. • Ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve dependencies and conflicts. • Lead program steering committees and decision-making forums. • Establish and maintain effective governance structures for the IT portfolio. • Develop and implement communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed. • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and IT stakeholders. • Provide regular status updates and reporting to executive leadership. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred. • 5 – 7 years of experience in IT portfolio management, program management, or related roles. • Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT programs and portfolios. • Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and portfolio management methodologies. • Experience with program management tools and techniques (e.g., MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow). • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Strong leadership abilities with experience influencing without direct authority. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Experience in stakeholder management and building strong partner relationships. • Knowledge of Agile and traditional project management methodologies. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Experience in budget management and resource allocation. • Understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and development processes. • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, ITIL, SAFe) are a plus.
