[Remote] Workday - Principal Consultant, Payroll

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Avaap is seeking an experienced Workday Payroll Lead / Principal Consultant to join our growing team. This role involves assessing issues in the customer's production tenant and initiating testing to provide solutions that meet business needs while building relationships with customer experts and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities • Principal Consultants in Payroll are responsible for assessing issues in the respective area(s) of the customer's production tenant and initiating the iterative process of testing to provide an ultimate solution that meets the customer's business needs • These role(s) will build relationships with customer subject matter experts while partnering with colleagues if necessary • Teamwork is key in this role, and the candidate should understand applicable federal, state, and local regulations in which the customer must comply Skills • Possess a strong understanding of U S Payroll, including settlement, taxes, and all regulations applicable regulations at the federal, state and local level(s) in which the customer conducts business • Confirm that solution design presented to the client meets the requirements of the project across multiple functional areas • Demonstrated ability to document delivered solutions, and provide knowledge transfer to customers on acceptable solutions • Demonstrated ability to convey complex solutions of varying degrees to non-technical users • Demonstrated ability to build long term, productive customer relationships • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively • Must be able to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment • Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration • Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap's physical office locations • Current permanent U.S. work authorization required • Workday U S Payroll certification preferred, including additional certification(s) in either Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking • Preference for Workday HCM consulting, and/or industry experience • Previous consulting experience with SaaS systems is highly preferred Benefits • Open PTO • Competitive vision, dental, and medical, including fertility coverage • Paid parental leave • 401(k) match • Company-paid disability and life benefits • Employee Assistance Program, including behavioral health services • Tech and Fitness stipends Company Overview • Avaap is a premier technology and advisory consulting partner dedicated to accelerating organizational transformation.
