Seeking Long-term True Crime Content Writer for YouTube
We're a rapidly growing media team producing emotionally gripping, investigative video content for a large online audience. We're looking for a scriptwriter who can turn complex true stories into compelling, well-paced scripts. These are typically adapted from real cases involving law enforcement, legal twists, and high-stakes emotional arcs. The ideal writer understands tension, pacing, and character-driven storytelling. If you’ve written for YouTube, podcasting, or documentary-style formats, that’s a plus. What You'll Do: Research and synthesize public sources into cohesive, suspense-driven scripts. Follow our narrative frameworks while preserving your unique storytelling voice. Collaborate with our editorial team to maintain tone, accuracy, and pacing. Meet deadlines consistently without sacrificing quality. What We’re Looking For: Interest in true crime. Proven experience in storytelling (true crime, investigative reporting, or longform non-fiction preferred). Ability to write clear, concise, emotionally resonant scripts. Strong grammar and structure instincts—no fluff, no rambling. Comfort dealing with intense or sensitive subject matter. Bonus Points: Familiarity with law enforcement narratives (e.g. bodycam footage, interrogation breakdowns). Experience writing for YouTube or video-first formats.
