Senior Cloud Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Remote, USA Full-time
About Us At Hayden AI, we are on a mission to harness the power of computer vision to transform the way transit systems and other government agencies address real-world challenges. From bus lane and bus stop enforcement to transportation optimization technologies and beyond, our innovative mobile perception system empowers our clients to accelerate transit, enhance street safety, and drive toward a sustainable future. What the job involves: We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Automation QA Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated validation frameworks for complex, data-driven, and cloud-native systems deployed in AWS environments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our cloud platforms, data pipelines, and observability systems provide accurate, reliable, and high-performing insights to end users. This position involves working in a fast paced, dynamic environment that values innovation, continuous improvement, and automation at scale. You will collaborate closely with the Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, and Data Engineering teams to embed quality and automation into every stage of our CI/CD lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test suites for Frontend, APIs, data pipelines, and AWS cloud components. • Build and manage test automation frameworks using Python, Pytest, or Java based tools (e.g., TestNG, RestAssured). • Automate testing for AWS based microservices, ETL workflows, and monitoring systems while testing AWS data pipelines (Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift) and API-based ingestion flows. • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. • Validate data integrity and accuracy across InfluxDB, Redshift, and other data sources. • Write and optimize SQL and time series queries to validate KPIs, metrics, and aggregated data. • Create, validate, and maintain Grafana and Datadog dashboards for reporting, alerting, and trend analysis. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. • 7+ years of experience in QA Automation, preferably in cloud based or SaaS environments. • Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Java, Shell, or JavaScript/TypeScript. • Proficiency with InfluxDB, Redshift, and SQL query optimization. • Experience building and maintaining dashboards in Grafana and Datadog. • Hands-on experience testing REST APIs with Postman, Pytest, RestAssured, or similar tools. • Familiarity with AWS services (S3, SQS, Lambda, Redshift, Cognito, EKS) and infrastructure tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform). • Experience integrating test automation with CI/CD workflows. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with a focus on data accuracy and observability. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with modern DevOps and SRE practices.
