About the position At Boston Scientific, data drives decisions and decisions change lives. We're building the next-generation data and AI platforms across EMEA, and we need a Senior Data Platform & MLOps Engineer to help us make it happen. This is a chance to design the backbone that powers analytics, automation, and machine learning across a global organization, impacting how we deliver insights, run operations, and ultimately improve patient care. Your role in Data & AI In this hands-on, collaborative role, you'll design, build, and operate cloud-based data platforms and MLOps pipelines. You'll work with data engineers, AI teams, architects, and product managers to create secure, scalable, and reusable services that allow analytics and AI teams to move fast without compromising governance or compliance. From ingestion and orchestration to monitoring, model deployment, and retraining, your work will make data and AI truly operational across EMEA. Responsibilities • Build and manage cloud data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, streaming systems, and orchestration layers. • Design and maintain MLOps pipelines covering the full lifecycle: experimentation, training, deployment, monitoring, and retraining. • Embed security, observability, and compliance (e.g., GDPR) into every layer. • Collaborate globally to deliver reusable infrastructure, templates, and standards. • Coach teams on best practices, enabling them to leverage platforms and accelerate AI delivery. Requirements • 5-8+ years in data, platform, or MLOps engineering, with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake; Azure a plus), Python, SQL, and distributed frameworks (Spark/EMR). • Expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and containerized/orchestrated environments (Docker/Kubernetes). • Proven experience building and operating MLOps pipelines (SageMaker, MLflow, Kubeflow, or Vertex AI). • Strong communicator, able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
