About the position The Senior IT Vendor Management position at Florida Blue involves managing key vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, and maintaining quality standards. The role requires the creation and upkeep of a vendor repository to track important dates and assess demand. The candidate will cultivate strong relationships within the IT organization and develop plans to address risks and service issues. Continuous learning about service provider capabilities and industry trends is also essential. Responsibilities • Manage key vendors, monitoring contractual requirements and evaluating vendor performance. • Create and maintain a repository of vendors in a contract management system to track key dates and assess demand. • Foster collaborative relationships within the IT organization and with project teams. • Develop mitigation and corrective action plans for identified risks and service issues. • Stay updated on current service provider services and industry outsourcing trends. Requirements • 5+ years of related work experience in managing IT vendor relationships and large projects. • Proven experience in managing vendors, including performance, relationships, contracts, and issue resolution. • Deep knowledge of the entire vendor life cycle, including sourcing, procurement, and vendor management. • Knowledge of IT products and services, particularly in infrastructure, hardware, and software. • Hands-on experience managing vendor costs and understanding financial concepts. • Experience working closely with project management resources. • Related Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Business or a related field. Nice-to-haves • Technical understanding of the sales cycle in IT Hardware/Software solutions. • IT Vendor management, sales, or deep technical experience in IT Hardware/software.
