The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the program, ensuring that all activities are in line with state and federal healthcare requirements. This role involves creating and updating policies and procedures, leading the compliance team, and providing regular reports to the company's leadership and Board of Directors. The SVP will also be a key resource for compliance and ethics matters, advising on issues related to healthcare regulations, and will be expected to stay abreast of relevant laws and best practices. Applicants for the SVP, Compliance Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a minimum of 10 years' experience in a healthcare compliance department, and a certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC). The role requires a deep understanding of healthcare compliance laws, including those specific to the telemedicine space, and experience in areas such as HIPAA, HITECH, and U.S. healthcare fraud and abuse laws. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a fast-paced environment, exceptional communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to apply a risk-based analysis to compliance issues. Experience in conducting investigations, managing a compliance program, and a strong understanding of healthcare coding, billing, and revenue cycle processes are also essential.
