Software Programmer 1 (Software Tester, 2nd Shift)

They are seeking a Junior Software Tester to design and execute test plans for web-based applications, ensuring software functionality and quality through rigorous testing and collaboration with project teams. Responsibilities Expected to design and execute test plans on Web-based applications Analyze, design, and coordinate the testing of software systems to form a baseline of functionality for regression testing Responsible for testing new programs and proofing the program to develop needed changes to assure production of a quality product Verify that software functions according to functional and user requirements and software design specifications Provide Level 2 application support Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected Develop and document application test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications Conduct Section 508 Compliance testing Identify potential improvements to reduce the number of problems and enhance supportability Establish methodologies (documentation, process, and procedures) to be followed during project life cycle Foster teamwork and collaboration across project teams, and business and systems partners Skills Ability to analyze information system configurations and technical specifications against security control standards and identify deficiencies Experience with commercial software testing automation tools (Selenium) Knowledge of emerging security policy and governance Should be able to work under challenging environment and ready to learn and adapt to new technologies Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills Possession of excellent analytical skills Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain a T2 Public Trust background Investigation Bachelor's with 0 - 2 years (or commensurate experience) Experience writing Ad Hoc SQL Queries a plus Benefits Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Corporate Discounts Learning & Development platform, to include certification preparation content Training, Education and Certification Assistance Referral Bonus Program Internal Mobility Program Pet Insurance Flexible Work Environment Available to full-time employees Company Overview GovCIO is a business consulting firm that focuses on cyber security, digital, data, management and mission services, and IT services.
