About the position The A.C. Coy Company is currently seeking candidates for a Software Quality Assurance Lead role. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that the company's software products meet high-quality standards through effective leadership, planning, testing, and process improvement. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing, with specific experience creating test plans and guiding overall QA strategies. Responsibilities • Develop and implement QA strategies, policies, and procedures to meet quality standards and organizational goals • Assess current tools, approaches, and procedures and makes suggestions for improvement • Mentor and guide QA team members, providing direction and support to hone and grow testing skills • Create comprehensive test plans and strategies, including defining test objectives, scope, and resource requirements • Oversee and participate in test execution activities, including test case creation, test execution, and defect management • Identify opportunities for transitioning manual tests to automation and lead the development of automated tests • Define and track quality metrics to assess the effectiveness of QA processes and identify areas for improvement • Maintain data pertaining to testing activities, test results, and defects • Continuously assess and improve QA processes, methodologies, and tools to optimize efficiency and effectiveness • Collaborate closely with development team leaders to address trends and recurring issues Requirements • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance • 1 year or more of experience providing mentoring and technical guidance to QA Testers • Deep knowledge of manual testing strategies and strong ability to write cases and plans • Strong hands-on experience with automated testing with specific experience moving manual tests into automation • Experience with any software tool (qTest or similar) that manages software testing processes • Experience with any software tool that manages test data • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Nice-to-haves • Experience leading a QA team • Proficiency with Selenium for automated testing, including coding • Experience testing both web-based and mobile applications • Specific experience testing APIs Apply tot his job
