Software Tester – Co-op/Intern

Nokia is a leading technology company, and they are seeking a Software Tester Co-op/Intern. The role involves developing scripts and applications, executing test plans, investigating defects, and maintaining test beds to ensure product functionality. Responsibilities Development of scripts or applications (Python, Java, JavaScript) to simulate various management activities and network scenarios on a web-based (browser) platform Development and execution of test plans to validate functional aspects of the product Investigation of product defects encountered during test scenarios Execution of tests and maintenance of regression and performance test beds, including publishing results and developing additional functionality Skills Currently a candidate for a Master's, Bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada Strong programming skills (Python, Java, JavaScript) Familiarity with automation frameworks (Mocha) as well as web automation components (Selenium, webdriverio, Robot) Ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment Strong problem-resolution skills Knowledge of software and/or testing methodologies Knowledge of database management systems (SQL, Neo4j, PostgreSQL) Networking and telecommunications knowledge UNIX operating environment (RHEL), Windows, Virtual Machines Knowledge of Routing Protocols (ie, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, RIP), and MPLS is an asset Company Overview Nokia manufactures mobile devices, network infrastructure, and location-based technology for businesses.
