Transactions Assistant - Real Estate

DLA Piper is a collaborative and supportive law firm seeking a Transactions Assistant - Real Estate. The role involves assisting paralegals and attorneys by organizing files, preparing documents, and performing various administrative tasks to support the firm’s strategic initiatives. Responsibilities Organize documents for attorney review Research public records using internal and public websites Assist with preparing binders, preparing closing books, making copies, entering data, and maintaining files Perform database research and data entry Obtain documents and other information from governmental agencies or public agencies Obtain information from accounting, timekeeping and attorneys for audit letter responses Assist paralegals and attorneys with mailings and filings Other duties Skills Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and database experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with paralegals, attorneys and clients on a regular basis Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills necessary to manage volumes of documents, binders, letters, charts, etc Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines High School Diploma or GED 1 year demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required Foster positive work relationships Comply with all firm policies and practices Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment Office experience in a law firm environment supporting paralegals and/or attorneys preferred Bachelor's degree Paralegal certificate preferred Benefits Medical/dental/vision insurance 401(k) Company Overview DLA Piper is a global law firm with lawyers located in more than 40 countries to helps clients with their legal needs around the world.
