Huntington’s Finance and Strategy (F&S) organization is seeking a first‑line Business Risk Officer to support the Corporate Treasury function. This role sits within the F&S Segment Risk Team and is responsible for owning and executing business‑aligned risk management activities in partnership with Treasury leadership, consistent with Huntington’s Enterprise Risk Management framework.
In this role, the Business Risk Officer partners closely with Corporate Treasury leaders to identify, assess, and manage risks across key Treasury processes, ensuring an effective and sustainable control environment.
The role also supports strategic initiatives across Finance and Strategy by delivering actionable risk insights, strengthening risk governance, and influencing decision‑making through clear reporting and effective challenge.
The ideal candidate will be strategic, analytical and a strong communicator with the ability to influence key decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Execute Finance and Strategy risk priorities and initiatives in support of Corporate Treasury.
· Lead business process risk identification, assessment, and documentation, including end‑to‑end process mapping.
· Assess, challenge, and facilitate effective control design aligned to identified risks.
· Enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of the control environment by assessing, challenging, and influencing control design to ensure controls are proportionate and well‑designed.
· Manage findings and remediation activities, including advising on corrective action plans and sustainability of remediation.
· Facilitate the Risk and Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) process for Corporate Treasury.
· Monitor key risks and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), ensuring alignment to approved Risk Appetite.
· Enhance risk metrics and supplemental measures to improve transparency into risk drivers and triggers.
· Provide constructive challenge and recommendations to Treasury and Finance leaders to strengthen risk management and decision‑making.
· Stay current on industry and regulatory developments relevant to Treasury.
Basic qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another quantitative or analytical discipline.
· 7 or more years' experience in financial services with direct exposure to Treasury, balance sheet, liquidity, market, or financial risk management, gained through first‑line, second‑line, audit, or advisory roles.
Preferred qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to assess risk, challenge control design, and influence business partners to improve risk outcomes.
· Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) and or professional certification (CFA, FRM, CPA).
· Strong understanding of bank balance sheets, Treasury activities, funding, liquidity, and interest rate risk.
· Experience partnering with senior leaders to provide risk insight, effective challenge, and decision support.
· Proven track record managing issues, regulatory findings, or remediation efforts with a focus on sustainable outcomes.
· Experience with governance, risk, and control frameworks, including use of GRC or workflow tools.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risk topics into clear, executive‑ready insights.
· Demonstrated ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and drive work forward in a fast‑paced environment.
· Experience using AI‑enabled tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve efficiency, insight generation, documentation quality, or risk reporting

Compensation Range:
$93000-$189000 Annual Salary
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
