Location: Remote - Must be located in Indiana Position: RCS - Document Specialist Shift: Monday – Friday 8a – 4:30p; hours may vary; 2-3 weekend shifts per year   IU Health is Indiana’s largest and most comprehensive healthcare system, dedicated to delivering high-quality, compliant revenue cycle operations. We are seeking a dedicated Document Specialist to execute documentation review functions within Revenue Cycle Services, ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance. ________________________________________  Position Overview: The RCS - Document Specialist is responsible for executing team functions within IU Health Revenue Cycle Services. The role ensures that quality standardized work processes meet established quality standards and result in consistent outcomes that compare favorably to federal, state and hospital standards, policies and procedures.  ________________________________________  Key Responsibilities: - Execute team documentation functions within Revenue Cycle Services, ensuring compliance with documented standards.    - Accept feedback from leadership to identify barriers and improve processes.  - Meet departmental productivity and quality standards consistently.  - Handle verbal and written communication effectively with team members and customers.    - Escalate questions, issues, and key decisions appropriately to support service quality and compliance.  - Demonstrate a commitment to IU Health’s mission, vision, and values by exhibiting behaviors aligned with purpose, excellence, compassion, and teamwork. ________________________________________  Qualifications & Requirements: - Experience & Skills:   - Requires understanding of medical record requirements, regulations and policies - Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills - Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings - Requires the ability to meet objectives and standards  - Preferred payer or insurance authorization experience is a plus!
