The Employment Development Department is one of the largest State departments in California, focused on connecting job seekers and employers. They are seeking a Research Data Analyst I to support and maintain the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Program by managing data files, preparing reports, and ensuring data accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Supports and maintains the QCEW operating system by loading data files, running specialized data programs, and backing up other analysts with their responsibilities
- Participates in the preparation of various weekly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Reviews data, identifies data anomalies, and makes needed corrections to the data and loading those corrections into various systems
- Responsible for the accuracy and reliability of the data produced and may need to contact employers on the most complex issues
- Serves as a point of contact, provides program training, and responds to inquiries from others
- Leads and/or participates on projects
Skills
- Must obtain list eligibility by taking and passing the examination
- Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov
- All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position
- Statement of Qualifications - A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is Required
