The Product Safety and Compliance Specialist is responsible for oversight and coordination of US-focused product safety and regulatory compliance activities, while supporting global compliance operations. This role ensures that products meet applicable federal, state, and industry standards through proactive regulatory monitoring, rigorous product assessments, documentation management, and cross-functional collaboration. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Monitor federal, state, and industry regulatory developments and assess impact of new or amended product safety requirements applicable to Bestway products • Conduct regulatory research and product risk assessments on newly developed products; provide guidance compliance, labeling requirements, and design best practices for both product and packaging • Identify and evaluate safety, regulatory, or quality concerns in existing products; recommend corrective actions or process adjustments to internal stakeholders • Manage and maintain compliance documentation and databases, including product incident data; analyze post-market performance and surveillance data to identify emerging trends or potential safety/quality issues • Identify opportunities for process improvements related to product safety compliance; develop and implement program controls, SOPs, and guidance documents • Lead inter-departmental training initiatives on safety, performance, regulatory, and labeling compliance requirements • Review and serve as the compliance approver for product manuals and packaging to ensure warnings, instructions, and marketing claims are accurate, compliant, and properly substantiated Requirements Competencies: • Ability to collaborate with external partners and third-party laboratories on product compliance and safety activities • Strong knowledge of US federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including CFR Title 16, CPSIA, Prop 65, and ASTM, ISO, IEC, or other relevant industry standards • Proficiency in analyzing technical data, interpreting regulatory requirements, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple deliverables • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Required Education and Experience: • At least three years of professional experience in product safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, or a related legal or technical field • Experience interpreting and applying relevant US consumer product safety regulations and industry standards • Familiarity with standards development processes; direct committee participation preferred • Manufacturing or retail compliance experience preferred Bestway (USA) Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
