How You'll Do It:
• Enterprise Continuous Improvement Leadership
• Leads the deployment and sustainment of Lean and SSPS programs across the manufacturing network
• Partners with plant and functional leaders to drive operational excellence and enterprise-wide performance improvement
• Identify, prioritize, and scale cost-savings and efficiency initiatives with measurable business impact
• Drives Daily Management Rhythm (DMR) maturity and improve SQDCP performance across all sites
• Sponsors and guide Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Bedding Assessments, and strategic Kaizen initiatives
• Establishes and maintain Standard Work to ensure consistency and operational discipline
• Leadership Development & Capability Building
• Builds continuous improvement capability by coaching CI Managers and plant leadership
• Designs and deliver Lean training aligned to business strategy and leadership expectations
• Fosters a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement
• Program & Portfolio Management
• Leads multi-site strategic initiatives aligned to enterprise priorities
• Owns network-wide CI roadmaps, ensuring alignment, execution, and results
• Tracks and communicate progress through KPIs and executive-level reporting
• Supports senior leadership with strategic planning, prioritization, and execution
• Standardization, Governance & Change Leadership
• Establishes governance for best practice identification, standardization, and deployment
• Leads audits and assessments to ensure compliance and sustained SQDCP improvements
• Drives change management and adaptability across the network, championing innovation and continuous improvement
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or operations; multi-site experience preferred
• Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification preferred
• Proven experience leading network-wide Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience coaching and mentoring leaders in Lean methodologies
• Mattress manufacturing or similar industry experience preferred
Requirements
• Strong working knowledge of Lean tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, line balancing, visual management, flow/pull, Pareto analysis)
• Data-driven problem-solving with strong analytical and project management skills
• Ability to influence and coach leaders at multiple organizational levels
• Strong communication, presentation, and executive-facing leadership skills
• Comfortable working independently while managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Proficient in MS Office, Smartsheet, and Power BI; working knowledge of AI tools a plus
Location & Travel
• Remote-based position
• Estimated 50–75% travel to plant locations
• Preferred: candidate located within reasonable proximity to a plant location
